Bathroom construction in Goa

Bathroom construction in Goa starts with checking where the bathroom can work, not just where the fittings will look good. We build the agreed civil scope for new bathrooms, including partitions, openings, floor preparation and specified finishes, with plumbing, electrical and waterproofing responsibilities clearly allocated.

01

New bathroom or existing-bathroom renovation?

This page is for a bathroom in a new home or a proposed new bathroom where none exists. If you are changing an existing bathroom, use bathroom renovation. If the bathroom needs an extension outside the current building, also review room additions.

02

Establish feasibility before fixing the layout

We review the available space, existing/proposed structure, floor levels, water supply, drainage connection, ventilation route and access for construction. A convenient-looking corner may have a difficult drainage route or require structural review.

Do not assume a toilet can be placed anywhere by raising the floor. The responsible designer and plumbing trade need to confirm the proposed arrangement. Openings through structural members require the engineer's instructions.

03

What the civil scope may cover

Item What needs agreement
Partitions and openings Wall specification, door position and any lintel/structural detail
Floor preparation Existing/proposed levels, build-up and designed falls
Service interfaces Coordinated pipe routes, sleeves and access before concealment
Tiling and finishes Measured surfaces, preparation, tile specification and supply allowance
Fittings Named supply/installation responsibility, fixing positions and delivery timing
Specialist waterproofing Separate appointment, substrate readiness, testing/release and protection responsibilities

We do not sell waterproofing as a standalone service on this website. It still needs a responsible specialist and a coordinated sequence; leaving it outside the civil price does not make it optional.

04

Set the details before closing walls and floors

Fitting sizes, outlet positions and maintenance access should be coordinated before work is covered. We agree which checks and service tests need records, who carries them out and when the next operation can begin.

The Porvorim office package included a new toilet block, with partitions and preparation coordinated for a separately appointed fit-out team. It demonstrates why the handover boundary matters: civil readiness and a fully fitted operational bathroom are different stages. Read the project.

05

How a new bathroom is priced

The estimate depends on dimensions, proposed location, connection distance, wall and floor work, fitting choices and access. Bathroom contractors should distinguish materials supplied by the owner from supply included in the quote.

A bathroom builder's price also needs to identify disposal, service alterations and work outside the room. We do not present a universal new-bathroom package before those matters are established.

Questions about adding a bathroom

Can I turn part of my bedroom into an attached bathroom?+

Possibly. We first need to assess dimensions, drainage, water supply, ventilation, levels and any structural or approval implications. A layout drawing alone does not establish that the connections are feasible.

Can I choose and buy the sanitary fittings myself?+

Yes, if that is agreed. Share models and dimensions early so outlets and fixing positions can be coordinated. The quotation records who receives, stores, installs and warrants the products and what happens if an item is late or unsuitable.

Does your price include the plumber, electrician and waterproofing?+

Only what the written scope states. It distinguishes civil preparation, the relevant service work, specialist appointments and fittings. We settle the interfaces before work starts so no necessary step is left unassigned.

Can I have a bathroom without a step at the entrance?+

It depends on the floor construction, drainage and full wet-area design. Tell us about accessibility needs at planning stage. Do not cut or lower a structural slab on an informal site instruction.
